Winning trophies in three Centuries

2002

The Rovers have the rare distinction of winning major trophies in three centuries.

Since 1875 they have won the F.A. Cup six times (in 1884, 1885, 1886, 1890, 1891, 1928), the Football League Division One Championship twice in 1912 and 1914, the F.A. Youth Cup in 1960, the Football League Full-Members Cup at Wembley in 1987, the F.A. Premiership in 1995 and the Football League ‘Worthington’ Cup (as it was then called) at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium in 2002.

Not bad for a ‘small town’ club - “The pride of Lancashire”!
